Pistorius, the minister of defense, wants to increase the number of soldiers in the Bundeswehr. Men who are eighteen years old will have to complete an application about the Bundeswehr in order to gauge their interest in volunteering for the armed forces. Following that, up to 50,000 of them will need to undergo medical testing.
